Financial services and lending are incredibly complex and highly-regulated industries that can be challenging to navigate. Fortis’ financial services group is skilled in  all aspects of commercial and consumer financial services and lending, including:

• Helping clients secure financial services and funding and defending them in regulation and enforcement investigations.  
• Representing banks, lenders and other financial services providers in breach of contract and collection matters against borrowers, as well as in examinations, investigations and enforcement actions by the SEC, FINRA, CFPB, FDIC, and other state and federal regulators.
• Representing consumers and businesses in disputes with banks and other lenders across a broad range of matters.
• Representing private equity firms and investors in connection with M&A transactions and investments in closely-held businesses, and assisting with drafting deal documents in accordance with today’s changing regulations and legalities.
• Assisting clients in obtaining funding under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (the CARES Act) that was signed into law on March 27, 2020.
